Macroacantha is a pretty and relatively manageable agave suitable for pot cultivation. It is native to Puebla and Oaxaca and cannot tolerate any frost.
In the trade, a distinction is often made between the blue form and the green form (Verde). Botanically, no distinction is made between them.
