Agave mckelveyana GENTRY 1970
It is widespread in central western Arizona in Mohave and Yavapai counties and is closely related to Agave deserti var. simplex, with which it also forms hybrids.
Due to its occurrence at altitudes up to 2200m, it can withstand a considerable amount of frost.
