Agave pelona GENTRY 1972
The type locality of the species discovered by Gentry in 1963 is located in the Sierra del Viejo in western Sonora on exposed limestone cliffs.
It has a distinctive appearance and differs significantly from all other known agaves. It is not easy to cultivate!
